GENDER-INCLUSIVE DESIGN NIGHT, cohosted by SmartDesign and Women in Innovation, in NYC on Monday July 16. Participants will hear perspectives from gender 'experts' and design strategists, and take part in a mini design-challenge around creating more inclusive products and experiences for gender-diverse individuals. https://womenininnovation.co/programs/ . SEXUAL ORIENTATION, INCLUSION, AND GENDER IDENTITY, a panel discussion in conjunction with the screening of Suited, the HBO documentary about a tailoring company that caters to transgender and non-binary clients, 6/6:30 pm, June 28, Somerville, MA - details here (free). Panelists include Matt Storm, writer Hannah Simpson, and educator and community leader Leo Morris, who will also serve as moderator. Organized by Somerville Media Center, HBO, and the City of Somerville.
Storm is available for artist talks, gallery and exhibition opportunities, and panels related to the topics in his work. His art addresses the theme of identity, primarily though visual topics of self-portraiture and queer and transgender issues.
